Registration for the webinar on pilot data collection on new WHO indicators is open

The European Coalition to Stop TB (TBEC) webinar to share experiences on pilot data collection for four WHO Europe indicators to measure the level of engagement of communities and CSOs in the National TB responses in the region will be held on October 24.

The TBEC invites all interested parties to take part in a webinar to share the experience of pilot data collection for four new indicators of the WHO Regional Office for Europe, which reflect the systematic approach of the impact of communities and civil society organizations on TB control in the region. The event will take place on Tuesday, October 24, at 11.00 in Kyiv.

This year, the TBEC has initiated a pilot data collection on four new WHO indicators for 2021 and 2022 in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine. At the event, representatives of the three pilot countries will share their experiences and lessons learned, including the challenges faced during the pilot data collection process and how they have overcome them.

The representative of the WHO Regional Office for Europe, Giorgi Kuchukidze, will present the main data on CSO/community involvement in the TB response, which is collected annually through the WHO Global TB Data Collection Form, as well as the WHO Regional Office for Europe’s assessment of the quality of data collected in the region. He will also talk about the WHO Regional Office for Europe’s plans for reporting on progress against the four new indicators.

The webinar participants will be presented with the Data Collection Guide for Civil Society Organizations and Communities Affected by TB, developed by the TBEC. It presents the process of data collection in a simplified form, providing a more detailed explanation of all stages, and contains practical recommendations and tips on how to implement the Data Collection Algorithm.
